Walking with babies, searching for trees

On Friday a friend and I packed our babies and baby-carriers and headed to Cissbury Ring.  Looking forward to our spring-morning walk, I also hoped the outing would provide some artistic inspiration.  It has been a long time since my last tree drawings, and I have been longing to make new landscape-inspired work.  I particularly wanted to find old, characterful trees, as a bonus perhaps some eerie woodland.  As we trekked our way up bridal paths and leaned into the whistling wind it was a treat to find some wonderfully spooky looking trees, rolling hills, friendly sheep and monstrous mounds of moss, all so close to home!
