This Saturday 15th March I’m packing my (very gorgeous vintage) suitcases and setting up shop at St Matthias Church Hall in Hollingbury Park Avenue, Brighton. Jessie Jumbles Marvellous Spring Market will be taking residence from 10.30am-4pm, featuring oodles of handmade, vintage and one-off designs. In case you haven’t heard of her, Jude Turner is the force of nature behind Jessie Jumbles, making accessories out of vintage fabrics and buttons, as well as selling retro/vintage treasures.
If you take a peek at the event’s Facebook page, you can see Jude has made a gorgeous little photo montage of each stallholder. Here is mine:
So far so good, the venue is beautiful and the stallholders are amazing. It will be even better if there are plenty of people looking around, so please do come and show us some love! Being out of the town centre there is free parking on the surrounding streets, which means you can support local makers without going bankrupt, yesss!
Here is a little glimpse of my new market display, and my ‘Goldcrest, You’re the Best!’ lino print on kraft board – looking quite handsome on brown. On Saturday I’m bringing some old work out of the archive (our walls at home), all my new work that you may have seen online, and a couple of extra brand-new surprises…
Be there or be square!
