Designer spotlight: Julie Ingham

Today’s open house artist feature is a designer who has created images for countless major companies. I’ve been lucky enough to see a few of her pieces in her studio, but am looking forward to seeing a wider body of her personal work for the first time.

  • Hello, what is your name and what do you make?

Hi there, my name is Julie Ingham. I am a freelance designer running my own business: Design by Julie Ingham. I am primarily a surface pattern designer and illustrator. I am really excited to be using open houses to show some new work that I am developing.

  • Have you taken part in the Art Trail before, and are you excited about this year’s event?

I haven’t taken part in the event before, and I was very pleased to be asked by Anna to take part. I think it’s a fab way to see new work and in really great settings and it’s a great thing for Worthing.

  • What is your favourite medium to work in, and which is your favourite design?

I love to paint and draw and try to combine these together through Photoshop to produce most of my commissioned work.  I am exhibiting some mixed media screen prints during open houses that I am very excited about….as there was no sitting at a computer for those!
